Daw Khin Hnin Nwe
Principal

Khin Hnin Nwe is an experienced teacher and school administrator. She has experience in Primary and Secondary School, Universities and Institutes across the state and independent education sectors in Yangon, Myanmar.

Prior to the Principal role at CISM, she held the positions of Assistant Principal, Head of Studies, Course Ordinator, Exam Administrator, and Secondary and Primary English Teacher at CISM and English Tutor at the English Department of Yangon University and Institute of Education.

Khin Hnin Nwe’s first degree was a B.A in English from Yangon University, Myanmar, with a focus on Language, Literature and Social Studies. She has also completed an M.A in TEFL at Institute of Education in Yangon, Myanmar, focusing on Teaching English as a Second Language; as well as a CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) from RMIT University in Melbourne Australia, specializing in the field of skills, knowledge and hands-on teaching practices. She also completed Teacher Training at Exeter College at Oxford University, UK. She attended the South East Asia Leadership Programme at Northern Illinois University, USA.

She is interested in curriculum development, professional learning, and organizational development. She is an enthusiastic, energetic and well-experienced educator, who is excited to work with teachers and students from all backgrounds.

Arkar Soe
Operation Manager

Akar Soe has been working for the international education sectors for more than 15 years. Being a Registrar, Customer Service Officer and Project Manager at the British Council Burma, he has diverse and rich experiences with exposure to working with UK Examinations, such as Person Edexcel, Cambridge Assessment English and Cambridge Assessment International Examinations.

He holds a Bachelor`s Degree in Psychology, and pursued his career as an Exam Administrator since 2013. He expanded his horizon in the field of Logistic and Supply Change Management, and led many successful education projects in Myanmar.

Currently, he is in charge of administering both internal and external exams at CISM and overseeing the daily school operations.

He maintains a mature, pleasant and professional manner when communicating with people. He works diligently, and shares his best interests towards the success of community. He has excellent communication skills, a positive disposition and smart personality with customer- oriented attitude.

Ebagge Etame Calvin
(Head of English and Languages)

As a graduate and professional with 11 years of a cumulative teaching experience, teacher Calvin is a seasoned, very proactive and ambitious teacher with a genuine interest in seeing all learners succeed.

He holds Bachelor of Education Degree in English and French, a Secondary and High School Teacher’s Diploma in Linguistics with specialty in English 2 nd Level, a Professional Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), 120Hours, and a Level 7 Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TQUK endorsed) 180 Hours from the London Teacher Training College, UK.

Recently, he earned a Professional Certificate in School Management and Leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Boston, Massachusetts, USA with emphasis on leading learning, change, schools, and people.

He has taught English, French, ESL and Science across Key Stages 1, 2, 3 and 4, and IELTS and Business Communications to adult learners; he thus enjoys, and is very comfortable teaching all age groups.

Prior to joining Crane International School Myanmar, he worked as Academic Coordinator and IELTS teacher at the International English Language Centre and Preschool Keng Tung. He keeps attending relevant Cambridge Professional Development courses as well as seminars to fine-tune and sharpen his teaching skills.

In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball and travelling.
